Broken down: Sealed Unit Replacements.z

Double glazed sealed units do not last for ever and from time to time they will do whats known in the industry as 'break down'. This is when mist or condensation appears between the panes. Typically this can be seen more in the morning or when the sun hits the window at certain times. This means the perimeter seal of the unit has been breeched and its advised that these units are replaced.

Sealed units into Timber, UPVC, Aluminium and crittal frames can all be replaced when required.

From time to time accidents also happen. Glass does break and when does it can be quite a worrying time but the good news is that Alucare does not worry about broken glass and can repair you window and take away the broken glass with no fuss at all. Making all the worry go away.

Real lead light Repairs.

In alot of older property's the windows will have a leaded design, be it squares or diamond design, some may also have stainwork glass with different patterns. Unlike todays methods these lead lights are made from several small pieces of glass held together with lead strips, in the trade we call these real lead lights. Each individual pane can be repaired seperately which can dramatically cut down the repair cost.

Emergency Glazing Repairs.

Alucare offers an emergency glazing service for sealed units and single glazed panes which have been unexpectedly or accidently broken. We can attend site on the same day as you call to either repair, replace or make safe the glass to ensure safety at all times. Conditions apply, please call the office for availability.

Because of Alucare's unique setup we are able to offer onsite and in house glazing service's. We can glaze into any material and up to any specification's required. You can utilize our onsite measuring and fitting services or simply drop your frames off to our factory where we will glaze them ready for your collection.

We keep a large range of glass in stock at our factory which is available to the trade and public. All stock glass can be cut to size while you wait or to order. Specialist glass is also available to order such as toughened safety glass, acid etched obscure glass' and many more.

The glass we stock includes:                                                         2,3,4 & 6mm Clear float glass.                                                      4 & 6mm Obscure float glass (Pilkinton Range)                              4 & 6mm Silvered float (Mirror glass)                                            A range of laminate, wired and fire check glass'                              3mm Horticultural green house glass

Supply only glass sealed units are available. We make all of our sealed units onsite in our factory.
